LeViteZer CYRP45

The LeViteZer CYRP45 was developed several years ago. It is very special and capable gimbal, unique, one of the kind. It is not a generic purpose gimbal, but can do things other gimbals can not.

Here is more about it

And some videos taken with it:

- demonstrating the extractable boom and how the gimbal can be moved https://vimeo.com/176605353
- demonstrating the gimbal and camera control https://vimeo.com/201530285/d9d9341eec
- the video you provably have seen https://vimeo.com/170268690
- CYRP45 + Hover-board https://vimeo.com/185535250
- an other video made with it https://vimeo.com/173245816
- up to 1:30 with the CYRP45 https://vimeo.com/183059363
- weird selfie ;) https://vimeo.com/184548552
- This video in between 0:17 and 1:13 is with the CYRP45 early prototype https://vimeo.com/146566074

It is specially designed for BMD Micro cameras and small native MFT lenses. This is to keep is small and easy to handle even with one hand. The boom on the prototype is quite short, but long enough to go to ground level, operator standing straight and easy to lift the camera smoothly up to 3 m.

If we make it a product we will make it possible to attach longer booms. The current extractable boom is very nice when traveling and operating with one hand.

It is a fully integrated system, everything powered from a single V-Loc battery and everything controlled from the joystick as shown above.

We have few potential customer. When having 10 customers that would be willing to deposit 500 euro when ordering and total price 3500 euro VAT 0%, including gimbal, boom, joystick and battery adapter, but not battery or camera, we will make a small series of it.

LeViteZer Control Software

How would you like to have full control of BMMSC using your computer, tablet and in future also phone?

The LeViteZer Control SW that runs on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. The USB to SDI box fully supports the easy to use LeViteZer protocol, so you can integrate it also with your own application. (Links below )

It can be used to control one camera, multiple cameras connected with SDI splitter one at the time and especially handy for a multi-camera setup like 360 video rig. All the cameras can be controlled at the same time using camera ID 0 on the LeViteZer Control software. This will broadcast the commands to all the cameras or they can be controlled one at the time using dedicated camera ID set on the camera menu.

It has been tested with the BMMSC but should operate also with other BMD cameras that supports the SDI control.

The current version of LeViteZer Control software supports only camera control, the PTZ control will return on next release. The USB to SDI box supports the PTZ control over SDI that makes possible to connect the PTZ head on the BMMSC expansion port.

There will be a small run of the USB to SDI box based on orders, maximum 10 at this time. The LeViteZer Control software is free to use with the box.

The price is 395 USD / 320 euro VAT 0% + shipping. We use DHL for shipping, it is around 50 to 100 USD depending of location, available mid May. To order contact me. ( kim.janson@levitezer.com )

Later on we will have also a control box that support interfacing over Ethernet and much improved PTZ control using a gimbal as described here

Note: We are still working to improve Android support, especially user interface on a phone.

Presenting the LeViteZer Control

The LeViteZer Control software provides a full control of the camera and gimbal over Ethernet.

On this video demonstrating it with a big lens, Sigma 120 - 300 mm f2.8, the lens alone weights over 3 kg.

And this is one way to use the system

First unit is now out for a LeViteZer Control SW tester and few more soon. If you are interested to test it contact me . we will have few more units available by mid April.

Some update

The end of the 2017 has been very busy for LeViteZer due couple of custom projects. At start of the 2018 we will focus again to the LeViteZer 360 Pro gimbal making it widely available and providing the LeVIteZer Control software to use it as a very advanced pan/tilt head. There is many waiting for it to be available, than you for your patience.

I Wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2018

The versatile LeViteZer 360 Gimbal

LeViteZer 360 Pro gimbal is much more than just a gimbal for 360 cameras.

LeViteZer has developed a full camera control over SDI, it currently has been tested with BlackMagic Micro Studio camera and provides control on all available parameters; camera, color correction, lens…

The LeViteZer control application controls both the gimbal and camera. All parameters can be saved and recalled: camera heading, focus, aperture, color correction, etc.

The gimbal control provides full control of speed and acceleration. The gimbal is powerful so it supports fast movements, but also very smooth and low movement speeds and it is very silent.

Also manual controls and joystick are supported. The control works over Ethernet, the Control application runs on Mac, Windows, Linux and Android.

The LeVIteZer Gimbal 360 Pro gimbal will be available by the end of November, first unit of the camera control add-on by the end of the year. More about them soon.

UltraPanorama is the first tester of LeViteZer 360 Pro gimbal. They tested final prototype. Here is a review by them.

The first units of LeViteZer 360 Pro will be soon available, this is one way to use it.

Axis security cameras on LeViteZer 360 Pro Gimbal

LeViteZer has been working now for some time with Axis cameras, not only as related to gimbals, but the image analysis etc. also. On this setup we have a long range zoom camera and a thermal camera on the same gimbal.

Axis cameras

The cameras are powered from the gimbal battery and connected to weather protected WLAN router between the cameras. For this test the gimbal was controlled with the joystick, but it could have been controlled as well over the Ethernet, as on this pan tilth head

We did some experimenting also with the camera control, the Axis cameras provide well documented interfaces. For time being this was testing the concept and we did not yet build a complete application controlling the cameras and gimbals and combining the video from the two cameras. On the below video the thermal and normal videos are combined on editing phase, but it could be well do ne on real time application.

I think this kind of system could have many uses on moving surveillance platforms, pole installations etc. It is not just very accurate and smooth pan tilt head, but fully stabilised powerful 3 axis gimbal.

If you find this interesting and have ideas how to use this kind of system, how to develop it further or integrate with your software solutions, moving platform etc. please contact me, kim.janson@levitezer.com

Big thanks for Axis Communications for loaning the cameras.

LeViteZer Pan Tilt Head

The LeViteZer Pan Tilt head is actually fully working 2 axis gimbal, so it stabilizes boom shakes etc. under this kind of movements.

On this video the LeViteZer Pan Tilt Head is controlled with computer over Ethernet. The same interface provides control also for BlackMagic Micro Cameras using SBUS or SDI interface.

The LeViteZer Pan Tilt Head is now replaced by the LeViteZer 360 Pro that provides full 3 axis stabilisation as shown on the blog post below.

Also normal RC controllers are supported and the LeViteZer 360 Pro gimbal has an optional joystick that provides control also for the Micro Cameras.
