Some smooth moves

Practising some pretty special moves with the LeViteZer CYRP45 gimbal.

Canon XC10 on LeViteZer 360 gimbal at sea

Testing the Canon XC10 on LeViteZer 360 gimbal. The Weather conditions are not that rough, but the waves cause sharp hits to the small boat as seen form the head mounted camera. The XC10 footage remains pretty smooth, but on this kind of wind and shaking there is some shakes.

Note though the lens settings are 240 mm at the start and 24 mm at the end, it was taken 4k and framed on editing phase, so maybe around 340 mm and 40 mm effectively.

The video was taken 25 fps and edited in 30 fps. Not quite ideal for this kind of shooting. 1080p 50 fps would probably have been better. Too bad I could not find 30 fps on the Canon XC10. No post stabilisation was used on this video.

360 Video camera would work just smooth even on this kind of conditions as it does not provide as much details as above 40 mm lenses provide.

Big thanks for Canon Finland for loaning the XC10.

LeViteZer FreeView

The LeViteZer FreeView is a concept that has been developed for many years and now been grounded for a year because the way the multicopter markets are today.

Some years ago it was enough to have well performing multicopter or gimbal or both and one could sell it with profit. Today it should be well integrated product with plenty of automated features. Performance needs to be just good enough, low cost is the key.

It is not easy for Startup companies like LeViteZer to enter these markets, though it would have an excellent concept, even well tested and well performing like the LeViteZer FreeView is.

A successful aerial videography product on todays markets requires a big well established company with needed funding and skills to make a product and to do the marketing. LeViteZer would be happy to support such company to build a unique multicopter system with capabilities like the LeViteZer FreeView has. Please do not hesitate to
contact me.

This video is me practising a year ago with a GoPro 3 setup, not very interesting surrounding and it is uncut so there is some boring sections, the purpose just to show what the LeViteZer FreeView can do. Today the yaw performance has been further improved and there is a Blackmagic Micro camera version waiting to be test flown.

In forest , crash testing and high speed testing

Some clips from this summer. The first half of the clips is with LeViteZer CYRP45 gimbal and Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera, the second half with this gimbal and Panasonic GH4.

I much like the Apple ProRes format, it is very easy to edit, but editing BMMCC footage I have still a lot to learn, can not really manage to get the colors I like. On that regard GH4 is much easier.

Heavy 360 video rig on gimbal

We tested the LeViteZer 360 gimbal with Captain Prod couple of weeks ago. The main goal was to test the 3 x Blackmagic micro camera setup, but we had also a Samsung gear 360 installed. Here testing first without stabilisation and starting at 0:25 stabilised (To view the video in 360 use 360 compatible browser like Chrome)

Samsung Gear

Stay tuned for the 3 x BMMSC setup 360 videos.

A gimbal with hoverboard

I bought a hoverboard some time a go and have been practising after office hours. Finally got enough confidence to test with a gimbal. Some more practise is needed to make it totally smooth, but I think LeViteZer CYRP45 + hoverboard has plenty of potential.
